Highly recommending this Heads We Dance remix by Russ Chimes, he implements his usual dreamy synths and builds alongside catchy vocals, Tepr also shakes things up on 'Love In The Digital Age'.
Tiga's showing no signs of fading out, sounding fierce on this new collaboration with Chromeo. On his world tour at the moment Tiga will be in London and Birmingham next month, for venues click here.
I could listen to this remix, and the original of this track forever and a day. Beautiful. Buy Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros album 'Up From Below' here
NROTB's 'Droplet' has been huge since last year becoming a big room anthem, in these tracks we hear the carnival influence as well as the dark basslines of his other productions.
Jump Jump Dance Dance's 'Show Me The Night' is given the right treatment in this remix by one of the best producers out there, Grum. The American Dream Team remix of 'Woah' is also a destroyer.
Penguin Prison's 'Something I'm Not' reminds me of the works of Fever Ray, which is definitely a good thing. Abstract percussion patterns and choppy rhythms work well, similar to the Jack Penate remix
Toddla T's funky feel remixes only get better and better, his rework of Lady Chann's 'Sticky Situation' builds up nicely to a heavy drop of drums and bouncy fidget. Also check his make over of 'Meddle'
Yes Giantess have been busy lately, but its proving to be a good thing. The remix of 'She Don't Wanna Man' is guiltily good, it will bury itself in your brain whether you like it or not. 'Demons' has some uplifting synths and melody work.
Everyday comes with a new Daft Punk remix or cover, these two are great examples of how to do them well. The Glamour cover is exceptionally nice listening. The remix of 'Rollin' and Scratchin' has some mean and catchy piano instrumentals, good work by Chilly Gonzales. Click here for a link to download his 'Pianist Envy' full mixtape for free that includes reworks of Busta Rhymes and Claude Von Stroke
This track from currently (but probably not for much longer) unsigned Kartell is pure sunshine. 'Get down' and get ready for summer with this retro house.
'81' is a monster of a track with a non stop pounding bassline coupled with an eardrum piercing treble, must be played at high volume. The Harvard Bass remix of 'Lightworks' contains equally dangerous content.
